Gemma + Tim

At the end of a crazy big weekend shooting a wedding away from home, I met the lovely Gemma + Tim. It was Gem’s birthday and these two soon-to-be-wed lovers headed to my neck of woods for some R&R at Gem’s old childhood holiday destination, Seaspray beach. It was windy, woolley and generally freezing at the beach soooo we piled into our cars and found a spot dazzled in the last few moments of the afternoon sun sheltered from the elements. Gem + Tim were so much fun and I am generally over-the-moon excited to photograph their winter wedding in the Dandenong Ranges in June. For now, some highlights from our engagement session last month…

Ferguson Family

Naomi is a stunning wife, mumma to four boys and a very talented photographer. I was chuffed (and a little nervous!) when she contacted me wanting a family session at the end of last year. Life got busy, things came up and our shoot was rescheduled a few times. At last, in mid-March we were all available, babes were happy and the most glorious sunset was forecast. After a short drive to her family’s property near Seaspray, we unpacked the car and wandered and played through the most  golden of golden grass as the sun began to fall under the horizon. The Ferguson’s are some of the best kind of people, filled to the brim with love for their babes and relishing in the life they are blessed to live. It really was a magical night that helped produce some of my most favourite images to date.

Erin + Maddy

It was a perfect, sunshiney Spring evening when Erin + Maddy arrived at my doorstep from the big smoke of Melbourne-town. These two besties wanted to commemorate many years of friendship with a photo shoot before Maddy headed overseas for an adventure or two with her husband.

We jumped in our cars and headed for the beach, with a roadside pit stop on the way home to make the most of the incredible golden light.
