Allanah + Brad

Allanah, Bradley, and their 36-week old bambino bump.

Two dear souls that I am lucky to have in my family that are eagerly awaiting the arrival of their first baby (a boy!) in a few weeks. The countdown is on!

Jessie is kind, quirky, crafty, and shares my love for all things vintage. And her baby boy Zeph? One of the most hilarious little people I know.

Jessie’s maternity session was scheduled for a day in early Spring. Unfortunately, since sunrise of of that day, our little country town was pelted with hail and rain and the outside temperature had dropped into the single digits. But due to a pressing due date, we still planned to go through with her photo shoot. By some miracle, at 3.30pm, half an hour before I was to meet Jessie at her beautiful home, the rain ceased and the grey clouds were replaced with the most wonderful clear blue sky before an incredible sunset ensued.

This shoot was a collaborative effort with a couple of local creatives in the Gippsland area. Jessie’s beautiful makeup was done by Allanah Hayman from Elixir Wellbeing Spa and the floral head piece that Jessie adorns was made by super talented local florist Katie Boyle from Pollen & Patina.

Baby N is due within the next few weeks and I cannot wait. Jessie – thanks for being the most perfect model, you really were just glowing in the gorgeous afternoon sunlight.

Louise | “Hey Baby” 31 Weeks

Week 31 marked the last of the three shoots I did of Louise for her “Hey Baby” pregnancy blog series. These have to be some of my favourite images to date. This week was also the last week Louise and I were to live a few houses apart, they moved to Melbourne only a few days later. These images will always be dear to my heart. Lou, thank you for the honour of participating as a photographer in this series, it’s been a real hoot! You can see week 16 here and week 27 here.

Louise | “Hey Baby” 27 Weeks

Louise and I got together for her 27 week “Hey Baby” bump photos from the comfort of her home. We drank tea, had fresh white bread honey sandwiches and played with her two girls, Sunny and Scout. For more information about what this series is all about and some images I took for week 16, head over here.

Louise | “Hey Baby” 16 Weeks

Photographer and friend of mine, Louise decided to document her third pregnancy through a weekly “Hey Baby” photography series she features on her blog. Her aim was to get as many different photographers to take photographs of her growing baby bump each week. I was lucky enough to photograph her on three occasions, week 16, week 27 and week 31. These are a few captures I took back in January for her third “Hey Baby” post.
